Masonry drill bits are designed for drilling into tough materials such as stone, block or concrete. Some work with a standard power drill but those designed for use with a hammer action drill can drill into masonry more effectively. Available in a selection of shank types to suit all tools. An SDS shank will allow the hammer action so are generally used for heavy pounding. The tungsten carbide tip makes it robust, reliable and long lasting and ensures the bits stay sharper for longer. These bits are known to get hot quickly, using a slow speed when drilling will avoid overheating.
